Homme libre, toujours tu chériras la mer!

Miscellanea

Here you can find a few things I’m interested in.

Math stuff

  • Matematita, Research Center for the divulgation of Mathematics (mostly based in Milano, Italy)
  • Curvilinea, Italian startup for sharing Math to the broadest public possible

  • Not-Math stuff

Outside the Department schedule, I’m very passionate about singing (alto singer) and sailing.

I’ve been part of the following choirs:
  • Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis in Milano (Italy) under the direction of Giovanni Vianini (2009-2010)
some pieces from the Schola: spotify
  • Stella Matutina in Bruxelles (Belgium) under the direction of Erik Trekels and Alicia Scarcez (2014-2016)
the historical re-enactment of the vespers of Sainte Waudru in Mons (Belgium), during the Semaine Roland de Lassus / Mons European Capital of Culture 2015: youtube
  • Concordia University Choir in Montréal (QC) under the direction of Jean-Sébastien Allaire (2011-2014 and 2019-2020)
first concert in-person after the pandemic; many pieces that we couldn't sing in Spring 2020 finally came to life: youtube
  • Dalhousie Collegium Cantorum in Halifax (NS) under the direction of Gary Ewer (2022-2023)

  • I am a member of the sailing school Les Glénans. I obtained a “Niveau 3 - Croisière” certificate from the Fédération Française de Voile (August 2019). Back in Italy, I have a little 470 dinghy that I wish I could use more often...

The picture above was taken in the summer of 2016 in the beautiful bay of Paimpol, Bretagne (France).
